Description
Flowers are so beautiful, we bring them from the outside into our homes to add cheer to a room. But there’s more to flowers than just good looks. Without them, plants could not make seeds and scientists think the world would be much drier. Dig up more flowers secrets in this badge.
Complete before zoom: Please research a flower before our zoom and draw or bring a picture to share with the group. It can be your favorite flower or a flower that represents your state or county.
Supplies Needed:
- 1 cup of baking soda – Amazon
- 1/2 cup of citric acid – Amazon
- 1/2 cup of cornstarch – Amazon
- 1/2 cup of Epsom salts – Amazon
- 3 t oil (vegetable oil, sweet almond oil, coconut oil, or olive oil)
- 2 t essential oil (for a soothing scent – adjust to your preference) – Amazon
- 1 t water
- Optional: 1 to 2 drops of food coloring

- This course does require hands-on participation.
- This course is roughly 45 minutes and will cover Steps 1-3 during the zoom, steps 4-5 must be completed on your own time, we supply video lessons to complete.
- The badge is not included, please purchase from your local Girl Scout Council.
