It’s Women’s History Month! Milton Hershey’s beloved wife, Catherine “Kitty” Hershey was not only a lovely person, she was a strong, influential woman for her time. Milton often credited Kitty for coming up with idea of creating the Hershey Industrial School, known today as Milton Hershey School. Learn about Kitty Hershey, her upbringing and life with Milton, and her many contributions to the Hershey legacy.
During this course we will learn about the town of Hershey Pennsylvania and what attracts tourist like yourself.
Be prepared to create your own chocolate flavor or opt for a chocolate tasting. This course is best done as a family or a troop.
Supplies Needed to Make Chocolate Candy:
- Chocolate Molds
- Chocolate Melts
- Flavor extract – oil based
- Must be oil based
- This is optional, but recommended
- Microwave safe bowl
- Microwave or melting pot
Supplies Needed for Chocolate Tasting:
- 4 different types of chocolate candy bars
- Plate or napkin
- Marker
