Fall is here, the opening of the pumpkin patch signifies the return of cozy outings, changing leaves and all things pumpkin spice. Belvedere Plantation is a great place to enjoy fall in Virginia. The field of spring flowers was remarkable and countered the fall leaves very well. Bring a camera and enjoy the 645 acre heritage farm. Suitable for all ages, you are guaranteed to make lots of memories.

Our Highlights

  • Hay Ride: Take a tractor-drawn wagon ride out to the Patch and wander as long as you’d like, choosing the perfect pumpkin. The field is full of pumpkins large and small. We did this last so we didn’t have to carry our pumpkins around.
  • Maize Maze: Was themed for the pandemic this year. Kids enjoyed exploring the maze and trying to find the way out.
  • Pumpkin Mountain Slide: Grab a burlap sack and race to the top of the hill to slide down one of two thrilling slides. No matter how old you are, sliding down the pumpkin mountain slide is going to put a smile on your face.
  • Pedal Tractors: The pedal tractors are a little work as the track goes up hill for the older kids.
  • Pig Races: Always a good time at the races. Only offered during select hours, be sure to watch the pigs race. While you are in that section of the farm be sure to stop at the Olde Barnyard to pet and feed the animals. There are quarter machines located conveniently throughout the petting area so you can interact and feed the animals.
  • Fun Barn: Don’t miss out on exploring the Fun Barn; where you will find the swing ropes. Have fun swinging and falling into a pile of straw. This is one of the farms original attractions. Also, in the Fun Barn is the Paint Ball Challenge.
