Description

Spring is the ideal time to start a beehive. As winter is coming to an end, an increase in forage makes it the perfect environment for a new hive to thrive. We recommend doing lots of research before starting your beekeeping adventure. It is a costly startup project and not something that will take care of itself.

In this course we are going to learn all about bees, how they are important to our environment and what all it takes to become a beekeeper.

Supplies Needed:

• Basic crafting supplies (glue, paper, scissors, coloring supplies)
• Glove & Double sided tape

Course Available:

• March 1st – June 1st only
• Emails will be sent each week with new content to progress through the course on your own time
• This course is self-paced and virtual

Registration Deadline:

• March 25th

• Beekeeping Patch (Included in Purchase)

Important Information:

• This course does require some crafting, participate with adult supervision.
• This course is roughly 2 hours and will cover all badge requirements for your Girl Scout level.
• The patch is included, will be mailed in April.
